Palm People of Kangkar Bahru

Malaysia is one of the largest palm oil exporter and producer. This series of work is about capturing the sceneries of the production of palm fruits and the people who are a part of it in the palm plantation of Kangkar Bahru. Kangkar Bahru is a small village situated nearby the town of Yong Peng in the northern region of Johor, Malaysia. It is surrounded by palm trees and rubber plantations. Most of the residents here worked as palm oil estate owners and rubber plantation managers, and the plantation workers are mostly from Indonesia. They have come a long way just to work to feed their families back in their country.
